Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 July 2026

We collect as little as possible, use it only to answer you, and never sell it. This page sets out the detail.

01What this covers

This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Venge website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It applies to this site and to enquiries sent through it.

Venge is the data controller for the information described here. If you go on to work with us, any additional handling of your data is set out in our written agreement with you.

02Information we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide. Nothing on this site asks for payment details, and we do not ask for special category data such as health or biometric information.

Our hosting provider processes standard technical information needed to serve the site securely, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is used for delivery, security, and abuse prevention, not to build a profile of you.

03How we use it

We use your enquiry details to reply to you, to understand what you are asking for, and to discuss potential work. We use technical information to keep the site available and secure.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or automated decision-making.

04Our lawful basis

For enquiries, we rely on legitimate interests: you have contacted us about our services and expect a reply. Where you are asking about entering into a contract with us, we also rely on taking steps at your request before entering into that contract.

For keeping the site secure and available, we rely on legitimate interests. Where we are required to retain records, we rely on legal obligation.

05Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not embed third-party analytics or social media trackers. Any cookies present are strictly necessary for the site to function.

If we introduce analytics in future, this policy will be updated first and we will ask for consent where the law requires it.

06Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers we rely on to run the site and our email, and only so they can provide that service to us. They act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to establish or defend legal claims.

07International transfers

Some of our providers operate outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where information is transferred outside those areas, we rely on safeguards recognised under applicable data protection law, such as approved standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

08How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting relationship, and then for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. Where no relationship follows, we delete it once it is no longer useful.

Technical logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting, and are then deleted or aggregated.

09Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to ask us to delete it. You can also object to or ask us to restrict our use of it, and ask to receive it in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the address below. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

10Security

The site is served over HTTPS and we apply reasonable technical and teamal measures to protect the information we hold. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take any incident seriously and will notify you and the regulator where the law requires it.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the date above shows when it last changed.

12Contact

For any question about this policy, or to exercise your rights over your information, write to [email protected].

Our Terms of Service cover the rest of your use of this site.
